These sculptures were created between 2012 and 2015 as a result of my visits to Grasslands National Park, including my time spent there in 2015 as an artist in residence, in partnership with Prairie Wind and Silver Sage. I collected pieces of metal found on the ground and in abandoned farm buildings. I imagined the metal reassembling itself to protect prairie grasslands from extinction.
